asked questions about Pipe Safe.

Who was the inventor of the Pipe Safe system?

Pipe Safe was invented by Mark and Wayne Stephenson,
both professional wall & floor tilers. They came up
with the idea of Pipe Safe whilst working for over 20 years
on building sites and seeing the problems experienced
with exposed and open drainpipes.

I can see how Pipe Safe protects people on building
sites but how does in help protect the environment?

The Pipe Safe unit protects the environment at the source
and not letting any rubbish go down the pipe system
and end up in our sewerage system or waterways.

What type of plastic is Pipe Safe made from and
where is it made?

Pipe Safe from 100% recycled ABS (Acrylonitrite Butadiene
Styrene) and is wholly Australian-made.

My plumbing supplier / hardware store does not
have Pipe Safe can I buy it directly from you?

By all means, please see our documents page for
an order form or call us on 1300 769 962.
Alternatively, ask your plumbing supplier / hardware
store to stock Pipe Safe as part of their regular products.

Pipe Safe has 'Full WaterMark Accreditation', but
what is 'WaterMark Accreditation'?

The WaterMark is a certification trademark owned by
Standards Australia. The WaterMark is used in relation to
water supply, sewerage, plumbing and drainage goods. The
plumbing industry in Australia supports the use of the WaterMark
which is an excellent way of helping Australian consumers be
confident about the quality of the plumbing products to which
the WaterMark is attached.

When does the Pipe Safe plug come out of the pipe?

The plug is left in the pipe until the job is ready to be
handed over and then it will come out through the middle
of a floor waste.

What's the benefits of Pipe Safe on a building site?

The benefits of Pipe Safe on a construction site is
it prevents slips, trips and falls. As well as protecting
the environment by stopping building rubbish from going
into the pipe system and also stops any blockages, part
blockages or smells, which have the potential to cost a
lot of money to fix.

What sizes does the Pipe Safe plug come in?

At present, Pipe Safe, comes in 100mm, but new sizes
are coming soon. Check back on this web site for
further sizes as they become available.
